Our Law Enforcement guest will be Chief John Dailey of the Duke University Police Department. The Guest Speaker will be Ms. Jennifer Epperson, a Special Assistant to the Attorney General. Ms. Epperson will be speaking about the NC Sex Offender Registry as well as the AG’s SafeStreets Program.

The guest speaker for May is Jay Chaudhuri, North Carolina DOJ Special Counsel. He will be discussing his work with the Attorney General to create the Campus Safety Program for North Carolina colleges and universities. He may also briefly discuss the social networking sites.

For the month of August we have an ASIS Social planned for Tuesday August 14th from 5-8pm at the RBC Center. Join us for networking and fellowship with your favorite ASIS buddies. Vendors may set up a table to display their services for a cost of $25. The cost of the social will be $15 and the RBC Center will serve pizza, pasta, salad, soda, and a cash bar. July Durham Bulls Game

In July, we will take ASIS out to the ball game when we attend a Durham Bulls baseball game on Tuesday July 24th. Bring family and friends as we get out and watch the boys of summer hit a few over the Durham Bull!!! The seats are $7, and the game begins at 7pm. Johnny Lee will speak about addressing violence in the workplace. Analysis of the risk, providing adequate training to employees, and conducting a comprehensive threat assessment are all elements of an effective program to address workplace violence.
